Find out

" What are you?!" She asked with a hint of fear. Of course, I have always been a fan of suspense.
" Well, let's just say... I'm special. " giving her a sinister smile; I gave her a pat on the head and walked off, leaving the speechless bitch on the floor.

Darkness surrounded me as I woke up, disoriented and gasping for breath. My mind was clouded with confusion, and my body felt heavy and sluggish. It took a moment for my senses to adjust and for me to realize that I was no longer in the virtual reality simulator that had been my prison for so many years. I sat up and looked around, my eyes slowly adjusting to the dimly lit room. It was empty except for a single figure standing in the shadows. As I focused on the person, a sense of familiarity washed over me. It was a girl with long, flowing hair and piercing eyes that seemed to hold the weight of the world. "Who are you?" I managed to croak, my voice barely above a whisper. She stepped forward, her gaze never leaving mine. "I am a goddess," she said, her voice carrying a hint of sorrow. "And I am here to offer you a chance at a new life." The words hung in the air, filling the room with a heavy silence. A new life? It seemed too good to be true. But as I looked into her eyes, I saw a glimmer of sincerity. There was something about her presence that commanded my attention, that made me believe there was more to her than met the eye. "Why me?" I finally asked, my voice filled with a mix of curiosity and skepticism. She sighed softly, her expression softening. "You were caught in an accident, one that I caused unintentionally. It left you paralyzed, trapped in a simulated world. I cannot undo what has been done, but I can offer you a chance to start anew, to live a life free from the confines of that prison."

When I opened my eyes I saw a familiar figure: "What do you think you're doing? Insulting me in front of my men. Do you have a death wish?" I covered my ears: "For my sake! Can't you shut up for three seconds? My head is going to split in half! Wait... Where have I seen you before? -Don't act stupid. I am your husband. -Husband?" I started laughing but it seemed the stranger was very serious. "What's your name? -Ephraim Dupree." I froze. "No! Shut up!" The man frowned. He was way scarier like that: "You can't be. Does that mean..." I ran to the closest mirror: "Am I Sliske Wraith? -What are you playing at? Who else could you possibly be? -No, no, no, no, no..." I grabbed my head: "No! I don't want to! This is stupid! This must be a joke! I am not staying here! Especially not with you! I don't want to die! You will kill Sliske! Or me. Or... Anyway, you are the worst husband ever! I have to leave..."
