The story is supposed to show the love of two hurt people that only see pain in the eyes of one another. It's about two broken people who find solace in one another. Their bond is strong because they've seen each other at their worst, but they'll never be happy until they get help. They have pent up anger and sadness that needs to be released. It's also supposed to speak of another man's love. A man who has never before experienced that side of the world for himself but falls in love with something that he doesn't understand. He doesn't know about her past, yet he sees pass her face, beyond her heart, he sees her soul. It's about healing for her through him. It's a book about the guilt of parents who either weren't there for their kids or caused them harm as they grew up.
But beyond this it's a book about someone who wants the best for all His children. It's about the Prince of Peace and how these four people found Him and the fact that they decided not to live without Him. It's about what He can do not only for them, but for all of us.
