What if mythology isn't a myth?

Callie Prescott has the rest of her life planned out: get into med school, become a heart surgeon, and heal the world. But when her long-lost mom reappears and she learns the truth about who she really is, Callie must give up everything - her dreams, her dad, and her future - to be the wife of Hades, the God of the Underworld.

Callie is surprised to find that her new kingdom isn't what she imagined, and neither are those who call it home. Callie wants to be bitter, but she cannot understand why this man - this god - sparks a desire in her that she has never felt before. 

But all is not well in the Underworld. Someone is after Hades' throne, and they want to open Tartarus once and for all. Callie and her new husband must travel between the Underworld, Earth, and Olympus to gain help from some larger-than-life gods and fix everything before it's too late. The balance of life and death depends on it. 

Can Callie fulfill her destiny, or is she just tempting the Fates?

As I pull away, his lips simply continue to kiss my chin and down my cheek. Another gasp slips from my lips, and this one echos through the hall. "I..I think...I...I heard something." I whisper as quietly as possible. He lightly pulls away to take a small breath before smiling. "I didn't hear anything. It's nothing." He pushes aside....
