Ellie Rendale had a near perfect life in Long Beach, California, yet after a leisured vacation, her family decides to move to the Outer Banks. After crossing paths with John B and Sarah, who the entire town presumed to be deceased, she teams up with them in a mission to find the lost gold. Soon after, she meets the Pogues, eager to find out more about the blonde, mischievous boy who has taken a fond liking in her. Falling under the influence of the mysterious boy, she soon discovers the truth-her truth.
