Running away has never been easy and it certainly wasn't easy for her when she comes across the devils wagon. Scarlett Brown lived her whole life being in the shadows, beaten and bruised mentally and sometimes physically too by her last living relative who took her in after her parents death but a lady can only take much before she brokes down completely. So when offer knocks on the door for her in exchange of a large amount of money, her family does not think twice before accepting it and it makes running away more appealing for Scarlett who boards a ship for America looking forward to a better future and leaving london in her past.

But what happens when she lands on the american soil and become the victim of a new situation?

Saving a damsel in distress was never a plan for someone like Jasper but it seems fate has a different plan and as I said before, everything happens for a reason.
