Wang Min was just a normal village girl when she was brutally taken away from all she'd ever known and brought to the palace.

There, she enjoyed jewellery and the Emperor's adoration...but she also faced jealous, scheming concubines.

When a girl named Wu Ze Tian entered the palace, Wang Min knew she was different. She was a girl who would stop at nothing to get what she wanted, and what Wu Ze Tian wanted was the throne.

A story of Wu Ze Tian's rise to power, told in the perspective of Wang Min, her best friend and fellow concubine.

***NOTE***
This is a new version of my earlier story Empress. It has a better plot and better grammar. The ending may also be different.
