Ian Kabra was convinced soulmates didn't exist. He didn't believe in them, thought those who did hopeless - until Sinead Starling found a way to detect his soulmate. 

He refused to believe her, tried to think logically, not let Sinead - and the rest of the Cahills - think they are right. The more he sees of the person he is supposed to end up with, though, the more he sees their similarities, until it's hard to not think Sinead is right. 

In the end, he might just be wrong.
