I am curreny rewriting this story.
My name is Alphino. I woke up with no memory of my past. All I remember is how to care for myself and that I need to help others.
I'm led to a decaying town named Rosenshire by a hooded figure. Most people have already left, but with my help, maybe the town will flourish once more.
I am left with too many questions. What happened to the old lord? Why was the town left to survive on its own without any help? Who am I?

Why Her?
I felt someone staring hard at me, I started looking around the crowd and everyone is staring at me, but this is different. I saw Ayden and his group of friends but then I saw a girl that wasn't there earlier. We made eyes contact she is beautiful.....my wolf says, "Mate!" I was excited......I finally found my mate. I smiled at her, and she was about to smile when she gave me a dirty look then turned away and started kissing Joshua. I couldn't believe it I know she saw me but she acting like we didn't make eye contact. Then the pain kick in............it felt like someone was sticking needles in my heart, then I couldn't breathe I felt short of breath. I lean against my uncle, "Jayden what's wrong?" my uncle asked. "Get me out of here now!" I said in our mind link. When we find our mate it is not the scent that we recognized, it is when we make eye contact then everything starts shifting towards us. Meaning, that I can feel her, as she can feel me.....I can smell her, and her scent is drowning me and it is driving my wolf crazy. A RANGER IS BORN
First off, this story was not written by me. I am posting it for a friend of mine, with permission of course. This took place in a Dungeons & Dragons game over 30 years ago. It is a about how one of the player characters got his start; Crentar Bronn. He is a human ranger of 1st level in this story. This is important to note, because it'll bring more perspective as you read the story. I was the DM (Dungeon Master) for this game. At the time, we were still in high school, which of course, gives away our age. lol I decided to have each character do it solo before they actually met up with each other. A teaser so-to-speak. Eventually, there was five player characters in the game. My friend who ran Crentar Bronn remembers this whole solo adventure to this very day in great detail. A few years after the game is when he wrote this story. We were recently reminiscing about 'old times' and he told me that he actually wrote it out as a story. He was then able to find it on an old hard drive & then sent it to me. I was very surprised at how good this is & how great his memory was from that adventure. I'm flattered that he was so inspired by it, that he turned it into a story! I hope you enjoy this early adventure of Crentar Bronn as much as we did. Perhaps, with enough comments & likes, he'll be inspired to write more chapters. THX

I thought I had died on my way home from work and that the gods had blessed me with a loving father in the afterlife. I was ready to accept that where I now stood was simply an illusion-an afterlife crafted just for me. How could I have known that my soul had traveled to another world? A world inside a book. I must have sinned greatly for the gods to abandon me, leaving me in this hellish place where I have to fight for my life every single day. I have no cousins who see me as family, no mother I can depend on. My home is filled with two-faced faes, and to make matters worse, my father's favorite general has taken it upon herself to act as some kind of mother figure, filled with hatred. The woman whose body I now possess was supposed to be dead. My death should have been the breaking point for my loving father-the event that turned him into a cruel, evil villain for the protagonist to defeat over 100 years later. Now, I am trapped in the book series I had read only because my friend loved it. And I can barely recall key details because I never bothered to read it carefully. It was already a horrible story riddled with many plot holes. And being stuck in it? It's even worse-especially as someone who wasn't even mentioned in the book because she was supposed to die early on. ~.~ This is a transmigration ACOTAR story set before Amarantha was sent as an emissary to Prythian. While the war over slavery has already occurred, I've altered the timeline and some details about the war's history. I also dislike the trope of a "truly evil" villain whose sole purpose is to justify the plot of a war or the extension of a series. With this story, I want to give the villain a backstory-a name and depth-saving him from the same mediocre depiction of a tyrant.
