She's always dreamed of visiting the United States, and thanks to this case she'll get to go- and impress the members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit with her profiling skills. Will she be able to solve the case before the target is killed? Find out in Yara Hughes: All-Seeing Detective.

Author's Note: Hello! While I primarily write fanfiction, this is a short story that I wrote for my English class that I wanted to share on this site. The goal of this assignment was to write a short story in the style of American Romanticism; therefore the story should reflect that writing technique. While it is loosely based on the show Criminal Minds, this is not fanfiction of the show and the characters here are all my own. I hope you like reading it as much as I did writing it!

PS: There might be a sequel...

SECRET & SCARS

5 parts Ongoing

𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐗 𝐉𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧. In a world that screams, I stand in despair, My voice drowned out, lost in the air. Chains of tradition tighten each day, I long to escape, but I'm forced to stay. Each breath I take feels heavy and torn, Every mistake a scar I've worn. I crave a sky where I can be free, Away from the walls that imprison me. For now, I sit with my heart in pain, Silent, yet screaming, again and again. Though shattered, a spark in me still survives, Dreaming of freedom where my soul can rise.
