Elevar is a runespeaker, an advanced student of magic. For nearly as long as he can remember, he has been travelling from town to town, exchanging magical feats for coin in order to feed his passion for knowledge - which is expensive when it comes mostly from books. However, after finding a concerning note tucked between the pages of a book on forbidden blood magic, he will be forced to pursue a different, and far more dangerous, set of ends than those to which he has set himself in the past.
