"I need to tell you something," I whispered.

Casey Carter has always judged books by their covers, people by their reputations, and food by the way it looks. But her last two years in high school put her at rock bottom and a road trip to Texas is the last thing she wants to do from New York City. Especially when it involves going with Luke Elliot who has the bad reputation of a player at her best friends school.

Luke Elliot had a hard year, he's made bad decisions, maybe got into a little bit of trouble and almost didn't graduate high school. But when his parents mentioned a trip to Texas he couldn't help but think it was good for him.

But when two rough pasts come together, it only creates a complicated future.
