What these students don't know however, is that Hope's Peak is no longer the beacon of hope that it once was. Here, there is a new subject that these unfortunate students will soon learn all about: Despair. As the killings begin, and students begin to fall one by one, it soon becomes evident that everything is not what it seems while the world of the Ultimate Analyst, Ryõko Otonashi, crumbles around her.
