Cal has the help of a dragon in his quest to develop his magical abilities and save his mother, whom he thought to be dead already. Jerry spreads dark magic, cursing the crops all over the land and the only way to stop him is by making them eat foods that have been blessed by a more powerful spell that will undo the curse. The only problem is that Cal cannot eat, as he too would then become cursed.

Between 3010 and 3020, the dimensions collided, forming portals through which both mortals and magical folk could traverse. Time is of no consequence here and one might travel from the kingdom of Brunuhville and end up in Victorian London; or perhaps London or 3019. Yet throughout time and even across dimensions, magic is not always looked upon with a kindly eye. After reuniting the Snow family and dealing with Alexa's illness that is progressing faster each day, Lee is faced with needing to become the King Brunuhville needs. After seeking out the land of Quincy and meeting many new faces, Lee is faced with no magic and five quests to determine whether he can be the king Brunuhville needs. What quest will Lee be facing? Will the young man do whatever it takes to be a great king? How will Lee cope with his mother's illness? And does Lee have what it takes to be a the king everyone needs?
