Her soft cheeks glistened in the pale light of dawn, and her pale lips moved slightly as she whispered the words of a Kaddish mourner's prayer. "O God, full of compassion, who dwells on high, grant true rest upon the wings of the Shechinah.." She repeated the prayer, her lips moving faster each time, eyes still shining silver. "Mein Kampf. My struggle. It is different for everyone, is it not? I just didn't want to see the world from someone else's point of view. I have my own story, so do you and so does everyone. The pages of history that sullied the soil. A tale was spun when Germany entered a new era with Adolf Hitler. With that tale happened the forbidden story of two young Germans in love, an Aryan and a Jew. As the world was thrown into the chaos of the Second World War and the Holocaust, new horrors unfolded in the peaceful lives of the young lovers. Death and despair that was tested with the strength of a smile or two.
