Taking place directly after the events of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu: Tim has spent a few weeks in Ryme. He's back to looking for a job, probably a crappy one that will only give him a meager paycheck and nothing else, after his first attempt to work with Harry failed. Also, his date with Lucy...well...that didn't really go as planned either. Instead of being stuck in a deadend job in his small hometown, he was stuck in a new city, knowing only a few people and feeling just as miserable.
