Forbidden Fruit

On paper at eighteen years old Jack Davidson has it all: popularity, a long term relationship and a career lined up in his father's flourishing business. A casual onlooker could easily mistake his life for being absolutely perfect.

But Jack is miserable. Weighed down by responsibility and constant pressure to appear mature and collected, there is nothing he secretly craves more than freedom. So when he jets off to America three days before he is meant to start his new career, he is the only one who isn't shocked.

Leaving his past behind Jack enrols in college and starts his new life in California, where he meets Victoria Grange who is exactly the kind of gorgeous, free-spirited rebel he was looking for. He is immediately enticed by her partying lifestyle and wonders how she always seems to be so carefree. Luckily for him, it isn't long before she reveals her secret.

Jack finds himself being introduced to the source of Vic's enviable lifestyle, which is the worship and consumption of what her friends call the Rush Berry. The taste of which is so exquisite it makes Jack question what life could've been like before he had tried something so good. But as he begins to fall deeper into this way of living he finds that not everything is quite as it seems, and Victoria might not be the girl he originally thought she was...
