Jade is the best Medic Omega in the oldest pack of the woods, but also the least traditional. She was the only Omega born one year and was raised along side only Alphas and Betas, except for her father who is an Omega.
Gray is the Alpha of the strongest pack in the woods but it is one of the most traditional ones. He knows how an Omega is meant to act.
What happens when Jade passes through his territory to try and get to the lake fast so none of her packmates die and she is found by the Alpha? What makes it worse is their mates.
