Mike feels hopeless,
he's failing at school, his best and only friend just moved to a dieffernt  town and he lost all hope in discovering what happend to his parents.
Everyone was sure that they died in a fire, because that was the only reasonable explanation; but he was there, they were'nt, they didn't see what he saw; but obviasly no one believed him.
At least not until Eva came bringing with her answers but also, some more questions.
