"It's not the pain that ruins us. It's the things we do to avoid that pain, you just need to face it." I tell him running my fingers through his wet hair. A fire ignites in his eyes and he pushes me off of him, my hand falling to my side. His jaw hardens and his nostrils flare. "Who are you to comment on my pain and what I should do with it? You think everyone doesn't have demons that they don't want to face? You think it's that easy right?" His voice raises an bit higher as he stares me down. "Yes, once you-" "Oh give it a break princess," he laughs cutting me off, "you think you see the world so clearly when in truth all you see is yourself!" A fire burns deep in my heart at his assumption, and I get up throwing the damp towel on the floor, "How can I see the world clearly when you've clouded my vision? All I see, hear and smell is you! And if I could only see myself, I'd see myself as a damn idiot for thinking you could be loved by me!" His eyes widen for a second before he blinks and turns away from me, facing the window. "Well that was a huge mistake on your behalf, loving a person who can't even love himself." ****** Anna Belonkzy, is a ruthlessly ambitious and a rather good-humored girl who loved books. She wishes to experience something rather hair-raising, heart racing and being paired with Golden Dawn's ultimate rugged rebel, Travis Santiago will surely put her dream of having the most exciting life to the test. He was a storm; sudden, powerful, violent, devastating and utterly magnificent and he captivated all left in his wake. Travis Santiago, wears that bad boy cover like a shield, to protect himself from people exactly like that honey skinned girl Anna Belonkzy, but fails as she was already too tangled in his soul. I stepped forward and asked, "Where do you want me?" It took me a second to realize what I just said. Shit! I placed a hand on my crimson face and muttered, "Get your head out of the gutter! You know what I meant." He laughed, his voice sounded hoarse and deep even when he's laughing. I peeked at him from the gap I made between my fingers. He was close. So close. He grabbed my hand and took me to the bed. Damn! It did sound sexy. His shirt was loose. Too large for me, and it hung on me like a cloth hung on a hanger. He sat on the bed, criss crossed and pulled me to him. ♡♡♡♡♡ Cassandra didn't come to Brinkley mansion to belong. She came to survive the year and leave. Then there's Easton Brinkley. Arrogant.
