Fated Adversary

Stricken with a unknown illness, retired history professor Heath Troupe spends his days in the hospital playing his favourite pass time: chess. But as Heath leaves his room for his daily walk around the hospital floor, a mysterious opponent makes himself known. One who links Heath's fate to that of everyone else on his floor who shares their stories with him.
