Cole has gone through hell to make it back to his hometown. He was expecting to come back and pick up where he had left off, but five years is a really long time to be gone. Coming back to a financially struggling town with drugs ruining the lives of people there, he knows that he can at least fix the town, even if he can't have the girl he wants. Bringing back with him his new friends, a motorcycle club he took over and a bunch of money he sets to work on turning the community into a thriving and safe area. 

Ellie left home four years ago to marry a guy she thought she loved, but as time went on and she was away from her hometown and family the more she realized she didn't love him. She misses her home and her family. On top of all that she hates her life with her husband, he is controlling and demanding her to be someone she is not. When she visits her family and hometown for the first time since she left she decides it's time to move back. What she doesn't know is that her first true love is back and behind all the new faces and changes to her home.

Will they be able to put the past behind them or will it keep chasing them away?

Life before she ran away wasn't as nice as the public saw it- the sherif's family, happy, and loving. Behind the doors it was orders being barked left and right with no warning or break. Not wanted to deal with this anymore, Astrid ran. On her voyage out, she ran into some trouble that seemed all fine until it wasn't. She comes back home and everything is all fine and dandy until, "Unknown: You thought you could hide forever? I found you, and I can find your friend, Nicole. If you want her safe, you'll be at the ring in an hour." Since Astrid's leave, the town suddenly had a motorcycle gang that hangs around, not realling doing anything in particular, but the sherif doesn't trust them much.
