Katelynn Forester doesn't trust anybody after she lived a life of torment inside The Facility. Experimented on for years until she unknowingly releases a virus capable of wiping out the human race after finally snapping under the pressure of being a lab rat. When she finally escapes the lab she's been kept in for most of her life, she finds herself thrown into chaos of the outside world. Everyone is sick. Everyone is dying. But no one is staying dead.
What happens now that she's out, and everyone is fighting for their lives? When Katelynn stumbles upon another girl, Elizabeth Winters, who is struggling just as hard to survive as she is, Katelynn doesn't have much of a choice but to let her tag along until her sprained ankle is healed. But she can't help but notice how beautiful Elizabeth is.
