The moment Iris' dad died, everything in her life changed. First, she lost her best friend and the only family she has ever had. Secondly, the day of her dad's funeral, everything he had warned her about came true. Everything they had been training for started to have some meaning.
After evading The Group for 6 months, they finally caught up to her. One of the main things Dex's dad taught her, was to trust no one. So, when Garrett shows up and offers to help her, her first thought is to fight then flight. However, Iris realizes that she might need Garrett in order to end The Group, once and for all.
