I swallow, the tears stinging my eyes. I'm nothing like him! I'm not like Nathan! I'm not an animal! I'm not a beast! I had remorse! I had some fucking remorse! I was just protecting him. I wanted to protect Ryan.
He kneels down to my level, his two eyes looking right into mine. I turn my head away to look straight in front of me. I don't want to challenge him anymore! I'm sick of this! I'm sick of being the pawn in their twisted game!
I swallow even harder, but my throat feels like it's full of rusty nails, that are digging and digging, until all I can say is...nothing.
