Nichtschwimmer [Eng. Ver.]

Lukas and Min-ki are childhood friends.
They spent a lot of time together, in the winter garden of Lukas parents' house. On a big air mattress they looked up at the sky together - distance was always strange to them. Their legs were knotted together while their heads lay on the other ones chest, hands held each other and fingers stroked through hair. They were close to each other, in a naive childlike way they were there for each other.

Even when Min-Ki's father was involved in a serious car accident and Min lost his leg, Lukas was there. Always. Every day after school at the hospital and right after at Min's home.
And just as Lukas was there for Min, so Min was there for him when Lukas parents told him they were getting a divorce. When Lukas little world broke apart, Min was there, holding him and they talked, about falling out of love and the new apartment - without a winter garden.

Today the winter garden has become the roof window in Luke's room, the knotted legs have become laying next to each other at a small distance. And being there for each other became secrets between them.
The laughter became bruises on Lukas face and the adventures became the physical disintegration of Min-ki, who seems to disappear more and more.
The safety to getting trough everything together became the fear of losing each other.

And friendship became a painful love.
