One's Choices?

Life is a series of choices, but one never faces these choices alone. One has those beside him, but what if One has nobody to help him? This is a story. A story, of One.

"I was running. Running faster than I'd ever ran before. Pushing myself to my limits, hoping to escape them. But then it happened, the worst mistake I ever made, which would end up becoming the best thing that ever happened to me... I tripped over a branch. I fell and tried to catch myself with my hands and stand back up. Only to find out I couldn't, because of a sudden painful sting in my left leg. I was in shock for a few seconds, but then it dawned on me. I'm screwed."
