The Order of the White Dragon is a secret elite group of women whose main objective is to protect the throne of the Fire Nation. This Order was established a thousand years ago by the Fire lady to protect her son, the crown prince of the fire nation. Over the years, the Order of the White Dragon transcended the boundaries of the four nations. In present day, Mai, Suki and Princess Yue are the agents sent by the elders to protect Prince Zuko, the rightful heir to the Fire Nation throne.

Firelord Ozai ordered Zuko to govern Ba Sing Se, his intention is to get his son killed in battle. Mai is a member of the Order, she tries to keep Zuko alive despite being ordered by Azula to kill him.
