Anti socialite, Dani Williams, spends her days in her room wishing for a change. Having no friends and being terribly distant from family, she becomes lost and broken, becoming bitter and gloomy. Her life starts to lighten up when she comes upon a young man named Erik Bolton. The two share similar feelings about....well... almost everything. Both seem to attract one another in the most difficult way possible. Only difference is, Erik is deaf. Though not being able to hear her, Erik finds his way by reading her lips.

Both soon realize that, despite having mutual feelings for one another, both are going through a heart breaking cycle. Neither know what to do with themselves, but together, they encounter new feelings, new strengths, new troubles, and new secrets.
