The Afton family has settled into a new phase of their lives, finding a sense of stability and routine after years of ups and downs. Clara, determined to support her family and contribute more to their finances, has taken a job as a janitor at a local cafe. He's doing better in school and has begun to make a few friends, slowly coming out of his shell. Elizabeth, the youngest, continues to be the spirited heart of the family. She's now in school, making friends easily with her outgoing personality.
