When Miss Masungit Meets Mister Makulit

I grew up having a small but happy family.

We had a good life.

Bahay na gawa sa nipa. Lahat sa bahay ay natural. Malapit sa ilog. May maliit na bukid ang Lolo ko na pinapaunlad ng mga magulang ko sa pamamagitan ng pagsasaka.
Wala kaming kapit-bahay kaya nasanay ako sa gawaing-bahay sa murang edad palang. Wala naman din kasi akong mapaglilibangang iba.

It was a simple life.

Not until my Mom was taken away from us. I did not believe it at first until the funeral service had started. I did not cry until the her last night. I hoped that I was just dreaming but I was not. It was all true and I did not know how or when or where to start breathing fine again without her in our lives.

But definitely, life has its way to turn our world upside down. And it happened to me before I finished High School.
