A Very Gallant Gentleman tells the story of Captain Lawrence Oates, a British Army Officer, and explorer in the Terra Nova expedition led by Sir Robert Falcon Scott. Oates, beset with hardships on an expedition gone wrong, walked off into the freezing Antarctic night, in an attempt to give his life to save the rest of his party. He knew he had become a burden on his friends owing to his frostbite and the chances of their survival would improve without him. The story is a fictionalized account of his final night and strives to explore what drove the man in his final moments.
"Hereabouts died a very gallant gentleman, Captain L. E. G. Oates, of the Inniskilling Dragoons. In March 1912, returning from the Pole, he walked willingly to his death in a blizzard, to try and save his comrades, beset by hardships"- a cross erected by the search party that was sent to find the missing explorers. Oates' body was never found.

Like there are characters such as Steven and Sam, Louis etc. that are from a lot of other fandoms. So expect a lot of references! I do not own the characters in this book, exept for Elena Snow (and a whole lot of others tbh, mainly the guardians). All the rights go to George R. R. This is a human x naga romance novel, so its not for everyone. There are inhuman aspects to the body of one of the characters (obviously) but they fall in love and get sexy anyway. You've been warned. Nash is retired. After seven years of fighting in a war on behalf of an empire that wasn't his home, he was granted citizenship and retirement. He can live in style the rest of his days... but Nash isn't interested in living in style. Instead, he claims a secluded cabin that was built in an ancient, unsettled forest. The Chosen One
Jay is a seventeen years old popular boy. He lives in Caleforniä with his mother. His father died when Jay was seven years old and his three year younger brother dissapeard and he is still not found. Jay and his friends are always in the woods nearby. One evening Jay rememberd that he lost his cellphone in the woods so he grabbed a flashlight and looked for it. When he founded it he saw something shining so he decided to look. When he wanted to grab it a bright light shined and blinded Jay. When he opened his eyes he saw he wasn't in the same woods. He walked trough the other woods and came by a fort. He wanted to get inside but some watchman stopped him. Then somebody came out and it was a man who looked like he wasn't that old. He letted Jay inside and they talked about what is happening. It was war between the humans and the Tokats. The Tokats are from another dimension in that world and they want to get the crystal of Terra. They want that because if they get the crystal they only need the chosen one to get their power back. The Tokats are looking like humans but the colour of their eyes is very different than that of a human. Jay decided to go help the humans fight. Time passed and Jay was observed by the Tokats. The Tokats decided to took Jay with them to the Tokats fort because they wanted to let Jay help them. Jay didn't want that so he ran back to the human fort. Not long after that the Tokats came to the human fort and taked the crystal but they also kidnapped Jay because they knew then that Jay the Chosen one was. If they wanted to use the crystal they must use all of the power of the Chosen one but then Jay would die. Jay didn't want that.
