The Next Nothing [Main]

Madeline Stark was just an ordinary teenager, until her mum decided she needed a 'change' and dragged her from the quiet seaside town Cromer to the busy city streets of London. Luckily, Maddie's quite the free spirit, and doesn't mind the drastic change as much as any other teen might have. She takes the opportunity to reinvent herself, which grants her many good friends and a social life that is at it's peak. Sound cool, huh?

Not quite. Her laid-back and carefree nature means that she's been pushing away her father for too long, and it hurts them both. Not to mention all the boys she has to face. Yeah, boys are pretty darn stressful too. Tyler's the charming football player who seems to have swept Maddie off her feet at their first meeting. Luke's just as cute-faced, but not as well known and seems to be constantly overestimating Maddie's feelings for him. Alex, Tyler's best friend, is also goodlooking, but probably way more trouble than he's worth. Back in Cromer Maddie could count the entire teenage male population on her fingers but around here they seem to keep popping out of nowhere. It's like waiting for a number 15 bus for 20 minutes and then 5 of them show up all at once. Stuff like that can really overwhelm a girl.

But Maddie can handle it, right?
