She just skimmed the latest article on the front page with her left glance. Reports of new missing people were no longer so foreign to her. The names of the victims were, as if archived, in her head.

She grimaced in reluctance and looked toward the intersection at the end of the main street. A police car with two police officers, with [typical] donuts and coffee to go.
Typical - she thought out loud.
Her view was suddenly blocked. A black car stopped in front of the café. The door opened and a young man-early 30s, she guessed-got out. A black suit, red tie, shiny dancing shoes. [Typical] businessmen.
His intense gaze rested on her. She looked at her gold watch-her father's keepsake. 7:01 a.m.
"You're late"
"Just a minute"
She looked at the clock again. 7:02 a.m.
"No, two"
With an elegant gesture, he invited her in. She left the coffee cold, as there would be another opportunity.
They sat quietly opposite each other. She placed her red coat on her thighs. It was nice and warm in here.

He pressed a small collection of files into her hand.
