She was beautiful, standing there with her pink hair sheltering her shoulders, her green eyes sparkling, her tiny fingernails painted a pale blue. Where she went nobody knows. It was summer, the sun was gorgeously dazzling our eyes, and me and Rose were sitting in the garden, lemonade glasses at our sides. It was so hot, and we were sweating immensely. "I'm going to go to the bathroom. I'll be back in a minute." She got up and went inside, leaving me baking in the sun. I guess I fell asleep, because when I woke up again half an hour had been and gone. I turned over to look at her. But she wasn't there.
