His one hand engulfed her elbow and nosed touched her ear, making it tingle and sensitive to his exhales. When he spoke, his voice was like darkest murmurs of night, nothing yet everything!

She held her breath and met those obsidian gems, thousands of emotions swirled in them. And her thoughts again nudged her, whispering ― see!
See beyond the flesh and bones. See deep, graze the insides. His eyes brows pinched together as if his feelings were running too wild and he needed a moment to process them. He lowered his eyes, as if shy of this, their intensity. those lowered lids shielded his orbs and her heart screamed, screamed not to hide them. For a moment she felt him withdraw - NO, NO, DON'T GO!
It was her heart that was beating now and when he raised his eyes again. She saw a look pass through them. Her eyes went wide and sudden realization left her weak in knees.
These eyes, they were Night itself. Darkest night with snuffed out stars and abandoned by the moon. These lashes wet with tangles of intolerable dreams. She exhaled a long-held breath and thought pensively, these were eyes of a once lost dreamer. They were his eyes and his only and her salvation.
He pressed a light kiss on her ear and spoke,
'' Tell me qalbi!'' a long paused stretched through them,
'' Do I still disgust you?''
