Sawyer is 22-years-old, living in the same small town in which she grew up, struggling to find a place in the world. She works a dead end job she hates and yet loves. Her once idealistic relationship with her mother crumbles every day they continue to live under the same roof, and her perfect older sister sets the bar higher than Sawyer can ever hope to reach. Her pessimistic outlook and lack of motivation are hurdles she struggles with daily, but she makes it through with a steady stream of weed and the brotherly chats and laughs she gets from her boss. She fights the monotony with dreams of what awaits beyond her hometown, when she can finally leave to see it. Until a new coworker, Declan, comes along with problems of his own, flaws of his own. And yet he manages to ignite a spark in her, and she suddenly finds herself looking forward to waking up each day. As she fights to ignore the secrets and traumas of her past in favor of the friendship, and perhaps more than that, she shares with Declan she soon realizes there's more to him than meets the eye. And maybe he needs saving as much as she does.

Side-Note: I just started this story so there is a very real possibility this description can change as my vision for the story does, too.
