"True love is like ghosts, which everyone talks about and few have seen." ~Francois de La Rochefoucauld People say love works in very mysterious ways. That no one can really tell what had struck them until it chooses to make them realize and recognize that strange yet somehow familiar rush when one has fallen from that ledge. Back then, I only laughed at their faces. After all, everything must have some kind of explanation on it, scientific or near its line. I never believed in love. Not even once. Then a random girl prancing around underneath the steady downpour of rain in front of my house caught my attention. Sure, we exchanged a few words and greetings, and I thought that was it. First and last time meeting each other... Boy, was I so wrong for that assumption.

I had never felt this way before, I had never felt the immediate butterflies swarm my stomach as soon as I saw them, but this was different. As soon as the new boy and his girlfriend moved to my school, I only expected to get to know them both just the same as everyone else, but I felt differently towards one of them. But it wasn't the new girl, it was her boyfriend Clay... I was gay and it wasn't something which I hid, I often attended the LGBTQ+ club held at school too. However it just had to be that the boy I had fallen in love with was already in a relationship, I knew I couldn't mess it up, but I couldn't hide this forever.
