A short story about OCD. This was the first "real" story I wrote, way back in October of 2015. I hold it very close to my heart. Uploading it here so I don't lose it, so it'll survive.

Altered
Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.Complete

"I hope you realize you made the worst f**king decision of your life." She could feel his cold icy blue eyes piercing through her soul. "I didn't ask for this..." tears threatened to fall from her eyes, her lips quivering in fear. His grip on both her wrists become tighter as he slams them hard against the wall, trapping her petite body in-between the wall and his body, "You'll never have a place in my life, let alone my heart, do you understand?" She winces from the pain from her wrists. He slams her arms against the wall again. He leans in close enough to the point where their lips are only inches apart, "I said, do you f**king understand, foolish girl?" His voice rises as he clenches his jaw in an impatient manner. She nods in hopes that he'll let go. And just like that, he lets go of her as she falls to the floor in utter defeat. "Let me go!" I screeched as he dragged me out of the house. And quickly removed his hand from my hair to my arm. "Mom! Dad!" I screamed right before they shut the front door so they couldn't see me. I looked over and saw my sister on the ground crying and my brother being held back by two of the men in black. Tears streaming down his face. Derek stopped moving in defeat knowing that he wasn't going to get past all of the men in black. The men let him go and he sat on the ground next to my sister. Somehow I slipped out of the mans grip. I immediately ran to my siblings and wrapped my arms around both of them. They hugged me tight not wanting to let me go. "I love you guys!" I cried right before I was ripped out of their arms and thrown into the back of a van. I heard my brother and sister yelling after the van started moving. "Goodbye." I cried silently. A Lasting Curse
This is my first story to be posted on Wattpad. This is the story of a curse, and those bearing it learning to make it their own. It is a story of love, and hope. A story of conflict and despair. "I love you" she says and kisses my jaw tenderly. "I love you too baby" I reply stroking her still damp hair. We were sat in a dirty McDonald's car park. We could be sat in a fucking pile of trash and I wouldn't care. Because I would be with her. As long as I'm with her, nothing else matters. -------------------------------------------------------- After all he had known was anger and hatred she was like a breath of fresh air to him. With just one look into her mesmerizing chocolate eyes and one listen to her angelic voice he knew he was ruined. He despised this feeling. He felt helpless. No matter how much he tried to stay away he was drawn to her and he knew he was playing a very dangerous game. Leaving the pain of her past behind her she starts a fresh in a new town with her older brother. Meeting the towns bad boy was not on her agenda but every time she saw him she was intrigued. He was rude and had a terrible attitude, but his eyes didn't show anything but pain which is something she knew all too well. They are complete opposites but have one thing in common.
