The central conflict revolves around the criminal and vicious acts taken within this book, and the continuous friction between Fallon Hanson, and her husband, Damari Richards who serves as our second main protagonist. Fallon believes the stakes to receive the inner tranquillity she deeply craves results in the harmful gestures taken towards others, as her morals and beliefs oppose natural ethnic codes in society, due to starvation of primary socialisation.
