Ella Jenkins had only come to one conclusion in her life that she was totally sure of. There were two types of Bus Drivers: Good ones and Bad ones.
The rest of her life is a mystery, to her, to her family and friends and to all those around her. Her mother's mind is a mystery to her, why she decided to run away when Ella was just ten years old with her boss. Her father's mind is a mystery to her, why he never moved on and let her mother, who in Ella's opinion, deserved none of his time or words. Cliff's mind, her resident Bad Bus Driver, is a mystery to her, why he always looks so tired and sunken and grumpy.

Ella catches the empty 107 bus every morning and afternoon from school. She cooks dinner for her Dad every night. She does her homework, she draws and she sleeps. But, her life is in for a tornado of a ride as one day, she gets on her bus and discovers that it is no longer empty and in her seat is sat a boy. A boy with curious eyes, the weirdest fashion sense she's ever seen and a killer grin. A boy who seems to look past the mystery that is Ella and her life and get her in a way that no-one, not even herself, does.
