Maya Romirez is a 17-year-old soon to be 18 senior in her high school. Maya is from one of the richest families in New York and has everything at her disposal. Despite all these advantages, Maya is still not happy. Her parents are very busy, and she believes they have forgotten they've got a daughter since she is now the only child.

Then there is Logan Altamira, the high school jock. Logan is a typical jock, besides the fact that he is no player and pays no attention to the girls, even though he flirts and has had something to do with them. He has never had a girlfriend. Logan's whole demeanor is cold, and he has this face that tells you he doesn't give a care about anybody. Although the Romirez's and the Altamira's are family friends, Maya and Logan act like they don't know each other at school.
