I’ve been in a foster home, for years. When I was in fourth grade my parents got into a car crash on their way to pick me up from school. I can still remember it like it was yesterday. It happened at an intersection; He wasn’t paying attention and ran a red light. I can help but believe that it was entirely my fault. The school got a call and they didn’t even tell me what happened. They just said that somebody was going to pick me up and take me to a home where I won’t be alone. I was too young to understand what they meant, but now I understand. A car picked me up in the car was a strange lady. She took me to a big house. There were seven other girls. All of us were around the same age. They never liked me, but then again nobody really did.
