I've had this idea for a while and it really bugs me how sad it is. Inevitably Hancock may go feral and I wanted to write about how the experience would go. This is gonna be angsty and the sole survivor's gender will be ambiguous so everyone may enjoy.

"Even if the skies fall silent, I'll be the last sound they remember...." - Crowbar wielding drone (Murder Drones Harem x Male Reader) ... Y/N, the last surviving Phaser Drone, formerly known as D/N, stuck on Copper-09... a planet that's one bad decision away from full-blown apocalypse. Once a loyal servant to JC Jenson's experiment to maintain the Worker Drones while they mine the resources of the planet, Y/N now deals with an identity crisis as his memories are a mess. He's haunted by fragments of the past, including an odd connection to his creator, who also shares his name. Existential dread? Check. Y/N's world is a chaotic mess. Worker Drones are doing their thing, Disassembly Drones are, well, disassembling, and the Absolute Solver, an AI with a flair for sarcasm, is pulling everyone's strings... His old companion, D/N, is now a brooding mess, adopting Y/N's name in grief, and flashbacks of violent moments and forgotten relationships constantly flood his mind. ...Yet he rolls with it, cracking jokes and getting through ridiculous situations, all while wondering if he's the hero or a just a random drone. Oh, and his own body is a battleground for control. When you're a walking weapon, apparently even your tech can be hijacked. But Y/N's got jokes, fighting, and a whole lot of bad decisions to make... while hoping he can reclaim some semblance of humanity, or at least some peace of mind... Let's dive in shall we? ✦ ✦ ✦ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ⚠️Disclaimer⚠️: this is a harem story with one being genderbend, So if harem/genderbend stories aren't really your thing, then this isn't for you! Follow the story of Orion as he confronts his past and future in a grim hellscape of a wasteland decades after the Courier's victory at Hoover Dam sent the Mojave into chaos. My Philosophy behind the writing of this story: So, this is my first time writing a story, since the 6th grade at least. You can tell by how much I improve the formatting past chapter 10 lol. Anway, I think many people found DUST's loony edgyness to be a negative. And I get it, despite my love for the mod, I can see why people might think it's childishly bleak even if it explains why things are the way they are well. So with that being said, one day I was listening to the Jeff the Killer episode of Creepcast in the shower. And in it, they mention that A. It's very edgy, and B. It's cold open kinda falls flat. Immediately, my mind turned to DUST, it too is over the top edgy with a cold open. That gave me the idea; could I write a better cold opening than this old internet creepypasta? So I did (i will at least give myself that), which then made me think about the first point; could I write a story that's over the top edgy, but still had a good narrative? That's what made the character of Orion, the protagonist. My main inspirations for him were the Red Dead series , The Ghoul from the tv show, and interestingly; Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. If you're familiar with any of these, you've probably noticed that they all have edgy, or at least hyper self serious aspects to them. But they are also self critical of those elements. This story aims to do that; tell a badass flashy story that takes itself seriously, while also making sure to show it's flaws, without making a flawed narrative. And in the end, create a tale of hope prospering in the darkest places of the world. If you enjoy the bleakness of DUST or even the original fallouts, I think you'll enjoy this story. And if you enjoy the campier and more inspiring aspects of the bethesda titles, I think you'll also enjoy this story.
