Anya Petrova is one of few super soldiers in the world. The first being the famous Captain America, aka Steve Rogers. The second was Winter Soldier, aka Bucky Barnes. She was the third one made before she was put on ice. Then there was the Russian super soldier; Red Guardian. The last was the infamous mercenary Reaper, aka Connor Reeds of Project Genesis decades later. 

Many years before Captain Rogers was thawed out. She was brought back alongside Bucky. They were brainwashed into doing HYDRA's bidding. They became weapons. Anya was given a codename; Shadow. Because in the shadow of S.H.I.E.L.D...HYDRA would rise again. That was their first mission. Bring down S.H.I.E.L.D. No matter what.

Trying to shake the feeling, I went to a nearby park and sat at an empty bench. Romania was lovely and I had learned I knew Romanian as the Schnee Soldier. I rotated the ring on my hand and waited for a shadow to move.
