A year ago, my life perfect. I was happily married to a wonderful man with a surprise on the way that was supposed to be a good day for the both of us. But all that changed in an instant. Now nine months later I'm living on my own with a newborn to take care of. That is until one dark and stormy night that there's a knock at the door and it is my husband. He wants me to come back home with him. So he can help raise our child to be a strong and powerful leader just like he is. At first, I am against it. Perhaps even appalled by the secret he's been carrying around.
A secret that could jeopardize the next chain in command which should belong to our daughter. But the Elders might not see it that way. And to make matters worse, a string of pack killings across the U.S. have crippled the very foundation that protects our secret. And I'm afraid that if we don't put an end to this soon. We might not have these lives for much longer.
