Despite the incident when Carmen was 13 nothing ever seemed to change in the town of autumn grove. It was just another quiet coastal town in New England, the only difference, no one inside it has had contact outside of it in almost five years.
But that all changes, when Carmen is 18 a group of locals pushed past their limit decided to take justice into their own hands which backfires when it lets a fatal illness that the walls had been keeping out into the town.

Everyone seems to be getting sick, even Carmens long term boyfriend, son of the mayor jasper reed. so why is Carmen immune? And why is the boy that broke her heart all those years ago the only one with any answers?
