Harry was always in harms way, always the centre of attention. While Ron was jealous of him, Harry hated it, he was never able to have a normal life, not even before Hogwarts, treated as nothing more than a slave. Dumbledore had always known that if he let the prophecy run its course, it was more than likely the child would suffer for it. So he came up with a plan. Rather than the Boy Who Lived being in the public eye, he took another child, made him look like the boy, and made him act as Harry until he died, when the real one would reenter the wizarding world, capable of bringing Voldemort down, and loyal enough to give the victory to him. Reposting because wattpad deleted this for no clear reason (I didn't get a clear answer), but they returned it unpublished. I still don't know when it will next update, but I am reuploading for anyone who still wants to read it (btw everything I have published is also on my AO3 account, same name)

Since I was initially planning a whole 7-book series, I wanted the ship to progress as they got older, since 11-year-olds falling in love seemed a bit too early. I hope you still read it though!) You are (y/n) (l/n), or so you think. At your 11th birthday, you get your Hogwarts letter, which you knew you'd get, so it wasn't a surprise to you. But the thing that was a surprise to you was that on the Hogwarts Express, you meet a boy named Harry Potter, who has a scar shaped like a lightning bolt, which you also have, but on your left wrist. You and Harry grow closer and closer as you figure out the mystery of a stone that hides in Hogwarts. But that isn't the only mystery- you are a mystery too. There are some talents inside you, waiting to be seen... Note: I am not one of those lazy writers who update once a month and have horrible spelling and grammar. I'll try to update once a week (at least), so you won't be bored and jump onto other fanfics.
