In a world unlike any other, citizens ages 16 and over are assigned certain tasks to complete each week, the number of tasks dependent on the person receiving them. The tasks vary in levels of danger and difficulty, designed to push an individual to their limits, both emotionally and physically. These assignments can make a person stronger, but they can also tear him apart.
