With a missing father and a hole in his heart from his mother's death, Julien Marshall thought his life couldn't get anymore difficult. But boy was he wrong. His father was controlling and had become mean and cold hearted after his wife had passed, but his disappearance had made the hole in Juliens heart bigger somehow. With no one to turn to, Julien spent most of his nights in bars drinking and picking up women. He had never had a hard time with that. Mostly resembling his father with a tall toned build and black hair he never seemed to fail to make the women swoon. The only thing he got from his mother were her jade eyes and nicely shaped lips. But after receiving a weird package with a coded message about someone named The Keeper his world is turned upside down. Now with a missing father and a world under some kind of spell he is thrown into a world of secrets and strange music. Julien now has to decide if he can save everyone or if he is just a worthless son like his dad had said. While trying to save the world he runs into another un-spelled person like him. A fiery spirited girl that loves dancing and music as much as him. Will he team up with her or go on his own to prove to his father that he is more than a worthless son? That is if he even finds his dad. Will he be able to save everyone, or die trying? Excerpt; "Hey tall, dark and handsome! Slow down!" The girl I'd seen earlier yelled. I hoped she wouldn't see me but somehow she had. I whirled around, gun in hand and pointed it at her. After the run in with those two brutes I suspect work for whoever in behind all this, I made sure to keep the gun accessible. "That's as far as you go! Who are you and how come you aren't spelled like everyone else?" I yelled back. "I could ask you the same thing bud. Put the gun down before I let Bellamy shoot you." She sounded and looked really familiar, but I just couldn't pin it. That's when I felt a gun press into my back and knew I was in some deep shit.

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. [previously known as Espionage: double-cross] Thanks for reading :)
