Does your music taste suck?

In reality there's no such thing as a music taste that categorically, definitively "sucks" as it's a matter of opinion.

I've always wanted a career in music (not the actual music side) The business, media and management side of the music industry is more of my style. Aka the gritty, lesser glamorous side of things. You know, the coke, the scandals, THE REAL SIDE OF MUSICIANS AND THE ART THEY CREATE THAT THE MEDIA TRY AND BLANKET IN A FALSIFIED PUBLIC IMAGE.

Anyway, I wanted to start this little 'blog' as a place to share my opinions on their aforementioned art. Like an album review but its actually honest and not driven by money thrown at me by white men in suits.

It's hard to explain.

But give me a read and see what all the fuss is actually about.

I will remain anonymous, just in case I actually get somewhere in the industry and end up managing a band I slagged off once upon a time.

If you're in a band and you want an honest review, DM me, I'm always interested in listening to new music!

So, you can decide! Does my music taste ACTUALLY suck?

"I see the world and it seems like I see it so differently than most other people. It makes me really angry most of the time. Especially since no one ever listens to me or what I've got to say. I try to express myself in so many different ways and no one sees it. When I sing a song people will only care about how the music sounds or how much I swore. If I paint, people will see the picture but not the meaning. It seems so obvious to me but everyone just seems to... close their eyes. Or at least shut off their brain. As if I see things they don't. But when they don't listen, how can I communicate that to them? It's so frustrating." Allie is a high school student and has big plans to make the world a better place. But her own head is pitting against her, throwing rocks in her path on a daily basis. Everything seems to be great for a while but what happens when her world suddenly comes crashing down around her? Can she ever recover? A coming-of-age story that deals with mental ilnesses, grief, first loves and family, briefly taps into the subject of religion and will likely enrapture you. Trigger warning: mental illnesses, self harm, death, dealing with grief, mentions of guns and gun control, mentions of cults, mentions of homophobia, dissociation. Names of bands, band members and song titles have been changed but at this point I want to credit mainly Palaye Royale, the band 'Homesick Soldiers' that is mentioned throughout is heavily based off them, but I'm sure if you're familiar with them you would have been able to tell that :)

!TW! This book contains talk of drugs, drug abuse, Overdose, death, violence, sex, and more. Reader discretion is advised. ------ My phone sat on the counter, lighting up several times as I searched for something to eat. After a while of not finding anything since the boys insist on eating everything I buy within the first couple of days, I grabbed it. His name popped up in my notifications. I rolled my eyes, letting out a huff before promptly opening the messages. 'My manager told me about what your friend set up. I hope everything will be cool, I don't want any drama' He doesn't want any drama? that's ironic giving everything we went through in high school and what he said to me just a day before I moved away. I never spoke to him since, and now he's texting me as if that never happened? I didn't reply, I decided to go on with the rest of my very early morning. It was almost six and there was no point in getting any sleep since I knew Rio would be barging through the door at any moment sooner or later. I stayed put at the counter, scrolling through social media until Kyle popped his head through the hallway. "Good morning, Bunny," He came over and sat next to me, resting his head on my shoulder. Kyle and Trav were always clingy, but Josh had prepared me for that. His separation anxiety was bad and he always liked to be around me, he found comfort in me for some reason. I guess it was sort of the same for the boys as well.

Dacy is pretty, intelligent, driven, and smart enough to know to avoid a complication with a married man--until she meets Rick. Rick is the bass player of The Band. When she hung outside the studio where he was rehearsing she didn't expect him to take an interest in her. But the handsome, funny, charming, and married Rick falls for the girl with brown hair and dreamy brown eyes. He seduces her without a thought then realizes that he wants her very badly. She doesn't want to be involved with a married man but there is something about Rick that draws her to him and she finds herself saying "yes" instead of "no" as she knows she should. Now, at his funeral, Dacy reflects on her past with him. Meeting him when she was only 23. How they looked at each other and just knew. She chose to navigate his alcoholism, his drug addiction, and the pressure of being in a relationship with a man who, though he is married, loved her to distraction and would not give her up...Warning Adultery, Sex, and Drug Use. Some of this is based on my personal experiences, but i won't name names!
